Through the Lifechanger Music Concert, Allianz Peduli Foundation Involves Communities to Build Temporary Shelter for Disaster Victims


JAKARTA, – In 2018, there have been a series of natural disasters in several regions of Indonesia, such as in Lombok, Palu, Donggala, Sigi and the area around the Sunda Strait which caused damage and casualties. Allianz Indonesia through the Allianz Peduli Foundation has provided assistance directly to areas experiencing disasters in the form of grants, basic necessities, daily necessities, and psychological assistance for victims. In providing this assistance, the Allianz Peduli Foundation cooperates with the Financial Services Industry under the auspices of the OJK and is supported by employees and marketers of Allianz Indonesia.

To invite more people to donate to victims of natural disasters in Lombok, NTB and Sigi, Central Sulawesi, the Allianz Care Foundation will hold a Lifechanger Concert on March 9, 2019, at Allianz Ecopark, Ancol Jakarta. The music concert event which was held in conjunction with the National Music Day aims to gather donations that will be used by Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to build temporary shelters for victims of natural disasters in Lombok and Sigi.

“Allianz is committed to changing people’s lives, not only by providing financial protection but also in everyday life. For this reason, through the Allianz Peduli Foundation, Allianz has carried out many CSR activities that aim to help the community, especially those affected by recent natural disasters. Continuing that commitment, Allianz Indonesia supports the Lifechanger Concert which will be an important moment to help more victims of natural disasters in Indonesia,” said Joos Louwerier, Board of Trustees of the Allianz Care Foundation.

Meanwhile, Mochamad Reza, Chair of the Allianz Care Foundation said, “Allianz Peduli Foundation will hold a Lifechanger Concert featuring musicians who share a common vision, namely to help our brothers who are affected by natural disasters. We also work with various parties such as Habitat for Humanity and Java Festival Production that have the same commitment and to ensure our social goals are right on target. We hope that this music concert can increase public awareness and collect donations that we will channel to our brothers and sisters in need.”

And Susanto, National Director of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia said, “The assistance that we provide for victims of natural disasters in Lombok and Sigi is in the form of temporary housing. Besides housing, we will also build sanitation facilities and provide trauma recovery in areas affected by this natural disaster. We thank the Allianz Care Foundation for this social initiative and hope that more people can be helped and can continue their lives”.

Lifechanger Concert allows people to donate by buying event tickets which all proceeds from the sale will be donated through Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. The community can also donate a temporary shelter (Huntara) which will be named according to the name of the donor. In addition, the musicians joined The Lifechanger Concert will also invite viewers to make donations through requests for songs and their favorite items (memorabilia) during the event.
