Garuda Indonesia Serves Jakarta – Silangit Route with B737-800 NG


JAKARTA, – The national airline Garuda Indonesia, starting yesterday, Sunday (17/2), serves direct Jakarta-Silangit flights using a fleet of B737-800 NG with a capacity of 162 passengers replacing the 96-passenger CRJ-1000 fleet previously used for serving that route.

Business Director of Garuda Indonesia, Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah said that the addition of capacity on the Jakarta-Silangit route is one of Garuda Indonesia’s efforts to improve service and convenience for service users from and to Silangit.

“The operation of the Fleet B737-800 NG is spread. We hope that it can accommodate market demand that is high on Jakarta – Silangit flight services,” said Pikri.

“To increase the seating capacity on the Jakarta – Silangit route is a priority of Garuda Indonesia as a national airline to always support government programs, especially in developing 10 priority destinations prepared to become New Bali. Where Lake Toba is currently one of the 4 priority areas of 10 destinations,” added Pikri.

Direct flights Jakarta – Silangit is served 4 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) with departure from Soekarno Hatta International Airport by GA268 at 07.35 WIB and will arrive at Silangit International Airport at 09.35 WIB and then fly back from Silangit International Airport with GA269 at 10:40 WIB and arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 1:00 p.m.(TPP)
