Singaporean Business Delegation Agrees to Invest in Belitung


JAKARTA, – As a follow-up to Indonesia’s Investment Day event, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Ngurah Swajaya brought a Singaporean business delegation to Belitung to introduce its potential of investment in trade, tourism and industry.

The delegation was received by Belitung regent, representatives of provincial government and the stakeholders and local business players of Belitung Regency. The Singaporean entrepreneurs were also encouraged to increase their imports of Belitung’s flagship products like fish, pepper and other spices.

The business mission visit resulted in an investment commitment between the Belitung Regency Government and Naza Holdings Pte Ltd worth US$500 million or Rp7.4 trillion, as well as black pepper exports from PT MTN Bersatu to some Singaporean business people valued at US$2.5 million or about Rp37 billion.
