SINGARAJA, presidentpost.id – Buleleng Regent Putu Agus Suradnyana has declared anti-hoax and statement of hatred with the people of Buleleng on the sidelines of the 73rd anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence.
“With this declaration, it is hoped that it can be a vibration for the people of Buleleng so that they will no longer be commendable on social media, such as spreading hoaxes and expressions of hatred,” Regent Agus Suradnyana said in Singaraja on Wednesday (8/15).
In recent years, he said, hoax news, hatred speeches, incitement and defamation were often found on the social media and potentially damaged the positive information order. “Through the declaration tonight, I hope we all become wiser in using the social media with the principle of always checking the truth of the information,” he said.
The anti-hoax declaration was done by signing a declaration banner installed at the People’s Entertainment and Development Exhibition to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence at Singaraja’s Buwana Patra Square held on August 14-17, 2018.
In addition to the regent, the officials and the community also signed the banner of the anti-hoax declaration. “This signing shows us in its formal form. The most important thing is its implementation in combating the hoaxes,” he said.

“The development exhibition is held with the intention and purpose of promoting the products from the small and medium-sized business units in Buleleng Regency,” said Suweca.
This exhibition, he added, also serves as a medium to socialize the results of development programs carried out by the local government.
The exhibition was participated in by as many as 35 exhibitors, 15 from regional institutions, and 20 participants from local state-owned enterprises (BUMD), private sector, SMEs, incorporated in 45 booths. (ANT/TPP)
