JAKARTA, presidentpost.id – The construction of access road to Patimban Port is ready to begin after JICA disbursing the loan. The construction of the phase I of access road to Patimban Port in West Java was marked by the signing of the project package with the contractor and consultant.
The package is the construction of a 8.2 kilometers access road with an investment value of Rp1.12 trillion. The construction will be carried out by the joint venture of Shimizu-PT PP-Bangun Cipta Konstruksi for 18 months.
The access road will be built with floating construction consisting of 5.9 kilometers slab pile and 1.6 kilometers flyover.
“The access road to Patimban will be connected to the national road network of Pantura and in the long run it will be connected to the Cipali toll road,” said Director General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works, Sugiyartanto, in Jakarta, on Tuesday (8/14).
The construction of access road to Patimban Port is funded by JICA loan amounting to ¥11.535 billion (the construction is ¥10.736 billion and the supervision is ¥799 million).
The access road to Patimban is part of the Patimban Port development program. The Patimban Port is designed to become the second largest container port in Indonesia after Tanjung Priok. The construction of access road to Patimban Port is expected to increase the economic growth in the regions on the North Coast. (DTK/TPP)
