JAKARTA, presidentpost.id – The 3.06-kilometer flyover to access the Cikarang Dry Port at the tollgate Km 29 of Jakarta-Cikampek toll road will be opened soon. The flyover has been built since 2010 and now is in the process of function feasibility test.
Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Herry Trisaputra Zuna said the flyover is integrated with the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, but the vehicles that are passing through the flyover will not be charged more.
“So, there is no extra charge. At the tollgate of Cikarang Dry Port, they indeed have to pay but the tariff is the same as at the previous tollgate,” he said.
Cikarang Dry port is ‘an extension’ of Tanjung Priok International Port with one stop service in handling industrial goods shipment from documentation, inspection to licensing. As the dry port is considered important, the government then built a direct access to connect it to the toll road leading to Tanjung Priok Port.
The flyover is built by the government with a budget of Rp255 billion. This flyover and the other flyover of Pasir Gombong will save time and shipping costs of cargos from the Industrial estates in Cikarang to the Tanjung Priok International Port.
The flyover to access the Cikarang Dry Port is designed with the length of 3.06 kilometers and width of 7 meters covering a land area of 7 hectares.
Although the construction of the Pasir Gombong flyover has not been completed yet, the vehicles will still be able to pass through the access road of Cikarang Dry Port then continue to the Jababeka area and Cibarusah road. The opening of this flyover will reduce the over capacity of Tanjung Priok Port and decrease the density of trucks passing through the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. (DTK/TPP)
