GE Entrusted to Maintain Largest PLTG Owned by Jawa Satu Power


JAKARTA, – PT Jawa Satu Power, a consortium of PT Pertamina, Marubeni Corporation, and Sojitz Corporation, has signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract with a consortium of General Electric (GE), Samsung C & T and PT Meindo Elang Indah, for its combined-cycle gas power plant (PLTG) of Jawa 1.

Jawa 1 will become the biggest PLTG in Indonesia using GE’s latest gas turbine technology with the capacity of 1,760 MW. The plant is expected to start operating in mid-2021. GE also signed a maintenance service agreement for 25 years in monitoring, predicting, and improving the reliability and efficiency of the PLTG. (SWA/TPP)
