200 Saudi Businessmen Gather in Jakarta, Targeting Property Investment

JAKARTA, presidentpost.id – Investors from Saudi Arabia on Monday (1/15) held The First Saudi Arabia Investor Forum with a focus on the real estate industry. In the forum the Saudi Arabian investors met with the entrepreneurs and regulators of Indonesia.

The event was organized by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Indonesia, the Indonesian Central Government and the Jakarta Municipal Government in a bid to offer the Saudi Arabian businessmen the investment opportunities in the real estate in Indonesia.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan welcomed the event. According him, the event was the right forum for the Saudi Arabian businessmen to look for the investment opportunities in Indonesia, especially Jakarta.

“Jakarta is the right place to seek investment opportunities, because it’s not only a city but a capital city. We facilitate the investment not only in the city but also all over Indonesia,” he said during the event at the Ritz Carlton, Jakarta, on Monday (1/15).

The event was held for 3 days until January 17, 2018, mostly filled with presentations and dialogues to discuss potential investment opportunities in the property sector in Indonesia.

According to the committee, there were about 200 entrepreneurs or investors from Saudi Arabia who attended the forum and they are members of the Saudi Arabian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Indonesia is ready to support the Saudi Arabian businessmen with some facilities. The event also discussed the efforts to reduce investment barriers.

The dignitaries attending the event were Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Osama Mohammad Abdullah Alshuaibi, Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta Sandiaga Uno, MPR Chairman Zulkifli Hasan and several other officials and stakeholders. (KEMLU/TPP)
