Highlighting the spellbinding beauty of the Three Colored Lakes of Kelimutu in Flores and all the wonders of East Nusa Tenggara Province, the Lake Kelimutu Festival 2013 will take place in Ende on 14th of August 2013.
Presented by the office of Tourism and Creative Economy of East Nusa Tenggar Province and supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, the event is aimed to further promote various tourism and creative products of East Nusa Tenggara.
The festival will feature various art and cultural performances and also an exhibition and trade fair that showcases top products and services from all of the regencies in the East Nusa Tenggara Province.
Through the festival, visitors will be presented with all the wonders of the 9 regencies of East Nusa Tenggara Province, namely: Lembata, East Flores, Sikka, Nagakeo, Ngada, East Manggarai, Manggarai, West Manggarai, and Ende.
Mt. Kelimutu National Park is the smallest among six national parks in the stretch between Bali and the Nusa Tenggara islands. Its size obviously does not matter much when it offers one of the most spectacular wonders that nature has to offer.
The three adjoining lakes, where each has its own distinct color, share the same name: Kelimutu. These are truly a spectacle unlikely to be found elsewhere in the world.
