Governor Handed 60 Hand Tractor and 100 Tonnes of Seedfro Farmers in Simalungun


Acting Governor of North Sumatra H Gatot Pujo Nugroho, handed over the form, 60 units of hand tractors and 100 tons of high yielding rice seeds to farmers groups in Simalungun combined. The aid is in order to increase the productivity of the farmers to support the self-sufficiency of rice in North Sumatra. In addition, the North Sumatra provincial government is also providing each of the 144 tons of urea and NPK fertilizer and 500 seedlings of mango, Longan and durian.

Gatot also asked the farmers and extension workers to reach the national rice self-sufficiency program. According to the Acting Governor of North Sumatra H Gatot Pujo Nugroho, farmers could potentially increase the degree of agricultural products in domestic and international markets, both in terms of quality and quantity. He also explained the limitations and problems in agriculture, where one of them related to the maximum insfratruktur not support agriculture.
